Bridesmaids Trends

When shopping for your leading ladies it's important to keep in mind where the ladies will wear the dress again. A huge trend to follow is the wear-again-able dress. Three amazing trends that stand out for bridesmaid dresses for this spring/summer 2012 

1. Flirty 50's- stemming from the hit show Mad Men we are seeing many vintage frocks made new again. Seen In flirty florals, polka dots and lace this is a great look for a garden wedding or a sunday brunch wedding. (see black and camel polka dot dress)

2. Pops of Colour- As we know a huge fashion trend this season is colour blocking. Why not put all your ladies in an amazing colour blocked scheme. Putting each lady in a different dress of a solid pop of colour is a huge trend with bridesmaids this season Were seeing lots of aqua, hot pink, kelly green, tangerine and cobalt. Don't be afraid of colour, use this trend to make sure each of your girls is in a colour & fit flattering dress. If it's to bold to do all your dresses in these bright hues try bringing the colour into their jewels (earrings, bangles, necklaces) or shoes.  3. Lace- Were seeing lots of classic black dresses on the runway for bridesmaid this season. Some a bit on the longer side with stunning slits (think Angelina Jolie at the Oscars) yet the cute tea length frock is still a great fit for your girls. Why not switch up the classic black dress to a black lace? This ultra chic look doesn't just need to be worn by the bride. Lace is a great way to add a touch of detail and an extremely elegant vibe. After the wedding the ladies can add a fabulous studded clutch to minimize the girly factor and use it as a staple dress for dinners out.
