Tips on Looking Great in your Wedding Photos!

What do you think makes a bride look beautiful?
I love seeing the bride and groom surrounded by their loved ones. I think there is so much beauty in that alone. In the weddings I have photographed, or have been to, it is always the people and the relationships that make the day wonderful. It’s the joy, the love, the genuine happiness for the couple, and the love so evident between the couple. You can see it, and feel it. Its beautiful. I know it can be easy for brides to get lost in all the details of the day, and can often feel stressed but I think it is important for the bride and groom to remember the reason why they are there, and to get lost in each other. I know its cliche but there is so much truth to it. 

Can you give us some tips for looking great in photos?
Aside from the hair, and make-up on the day, I think it is important for the bride to have a sense of calmness throughout the day so that her personality is captured beautifully. Start your day with your regular routine, whether thats a run in the morning, a good breakfast with friends and family or even a relaxing morning with a massage at the spa can help to set the tone. Weddings are very fast paced. I like to spend about two hours shooting with the couple alone. It allows them to relax, forget about everything and enjoy their moments together on their special day. My goal is to create beautiful images even if I need to insert myself into the situation. I would also recommend for the bride and groom to sit down with their photographer several months prior to their wedding and create the schedule of the day together.
